The circuit is a 2.04 miles temporary street circuit. The scenic partially tree-lined course starts and finishes near the intersection of Pratt Street, one of Baltimore’s main avenues, and Sharp Street. It contains 12 turns, including a hairpin turn at the intersection of Light Street and Lee Street. The main straight runs along Pratt Street from Paca Street to Calvert Street and is 0.5 miles long. The course has 13 grandstands and 5 bridges.

For the fourth time in six years, Dixon won the Mid-Ohio round of the IRL Series championship. This year, he did it without the benefit of a full-course caution, as INDYCAR has completed two consecutive caution-free races for the first time in 25 years.

This season marks the sixth straight co-headlined Mid-Ohio Sports Car Challenge & The Honda Indy® 200 at Mid-Ohio weekend. This unique event boasts the top sports car and open wheel series in the nation competing on back to back days. Mid-Ohio is the only permanent road course to host both series on the same weekend. Both the Honda Indy® 200 and the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Challenge will be broadcasted live on ABC.

Unfazed, Power picked off drivers ahead of him one by one. His ability to make passes on a street course not easy to pass on enabled him to run the 85 laps on two pit stops instead of three and made Power the winner of the IndyCar main event by just 0.86 seconds over Simon Pagenaud.
