An Automotive Magazine Built On Friendship and the Love of Motorsports

Founded in 2003, Down Shift Magazine is a Tampa, Florida based automotive lifestyle publication produced by parent company Down Shift Publishing; a wholly owned and operated subsidiary of the DSH, LLC holding company.  An engaging and dynamic automotive lifestyle publication for the modern import performance and Motorsports enthusiast, Down Shift Magazine has enjoyed steady growth over the course of the last decade increasing it’s print distribution to more than 10,000 copies bi-monthly and serving more than 120,000 readers online each month.

In ten years we’ve come a long way! A decade ago our staff were all recent graduates from various major Florida universities (the Universities of Florida, South Florida, Florida State and Central Florida); twenty-somethings eager and excited to pursue a creative outlet centered around something we all felt passionate about Motorsports and the bustling import performance community…. Today, we’re not really all that different though years of experience have allowed us to grow a business and pursue new opportunities as they have arisen. Through it all and at it’s core, Down Shift Magazine is still a unique collaboration of friends new and old who have come together to produce a publication that is both unique and engaging.

With print distribution centered in the South East, Down Shift Magazine currently distributes 10,000 copies bi-monthly throughout the Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Sarasota, Orlando, Miami, Ft Lauderdale, Jacksonville,  Atlanta, Charleston and Charlotte metropolitan areas. Unfettered by distribution restrictions our website has grown exponentially and is now frequented daily by readers from all over the world, averaging more than 120,000 hits monthly. Active proponents of social media, Down Shift Magazine interacts daily with it’s more than 21,000 Facebook and Twitter followers. Currently we are also actively growing an increasing active and diverse fan base on both Instagram and Pinterest, two communities which lend themselves well to our photo-centric content and coverage of both Motorsports and lifestyle elements.
