Quite possibly the sexiest design from Lotus in the last 40 years…

Featuring a hybrid 4.0-liter V6 and weighing a mere 2,855lbs the new Elan is a true 21st century Lotus (1920x1200)
This all new Lotus Elan was announced at the 2010 Paris Motor Show and while it was hoped to be in production by 2013, Lotus has since pushed it’s production back to a 2017 model year release. Why you may ask? So as to allow the newly reconfigured auto manufacturer time to further develop the current Evora. Push-back aside the sexy new Evora is slated to feature a 4.0-litre V6 engine and weigh in roughly at 2,855 lbs. Looking forward to the future, it has also been announced that the new Elan will also feature optional hybrid technology with KERS which will be across the whole new Lotus range. It will mainly be aimed at buyers of the Porsche 911 and Aston Martin V8 Vantage.
